Welcome to Nature’s Playground

Maldives, Indian Ocean

Niyama Private Islands Maldives is where the world’s rich and famous come to frolic and play. Its own sliver of paradise, with two islands surrounded by watercolour swirls of lagoon then deep sapphire ocean, it calls you to escape the confines of the everyday and throw yourself into wild hedonism.

Villas and pavilions sprawl across whitesand beaches and over translucent water. And while the outline of quintessential Maldives remains – with thatched roofs, cantilevered pools, panoramas of open horizon – bold splashes of colour and contemporary lines add a distinctively Niyama edge. Inside, small touches elevate luxury to extravagance, including a Garden of Eden bathroom, 360° entertainment, Thakuru service (Villa Host), and most deliciously of all, a deli with ice-cream and a popcorn machine.

Indulgence in culinary form continues across both islands and the ocean. Castaway half a kilometre out to sea, exploring the intriguing modern flavours of the Indian Ocean. Spice it up in the treetops, go tribal in the jungle, or descend to the depths of the ocean to champagne party with the fishes.

At Niyama Private Islands Maldives, surfing is a way of life. And with peak surf season fast approaching, two renowned surfies – Wave-Ki founder and instructor Brad Gerlach and whizbehind- the-lens Junior Garcia – are set to take up residence.

Surfing at Niyama goes next-level with former #1 surfer Brad Gerlach and his revolutionary coaching method. Martial art–like, slow, precise movements embed a more powerful way to surf deep within you, training your body and mind to extract every ounce of energy from the ocean from March 10 –April 20, 2024 and to capture guests mid-wave will be photographer Junior Garcia, at the resort 8 March 8 – September 30, 2024. Originally from Brazil, and now based in Bali, Junior has spent his life chasing the ultimate wave and the ultimate shot.
